The sex has made me stupid.

On 29th May, my friends Sarah, Charlie and Emma and I went to Robots In Disguise at the Carling Academy 2 in Birmingham. We were supposed to be meeting at 6:30 by the bull, so I told Sarah that I would meet her at Sutton Coldfield train station at 5:45, so as to leave plenty of time for us to get there. Unfortunately, it did not quite go to plan. Obviously, I know where the train station is, as I go there pretty often, but on this occasion I decided that I did not want to go directly through the centre of Sutton, as I was wearing a black vest top, grey shorts, and neon green socks, which made me look more than a little odd, so I asked my mum if there was a way to the station that did not require me going through the shopping bit of Sutton. She then gave me directions and, surprise surprise, I got lost, and it took me much longer to get to the station than it should have done. By that time, I had started to get blisters, as I had decided that it would be a good idea to wear heels. At least when I got there, I did not feel like I looked too odd, as Sarah was wearing silver leggings with nothing over the top, an RiD t-shirt, and a silver jacket. We got the train into town, and were surprisingly not late! After a short while, we went to Eat so that she could get a drink, and Charlie came and met us in there. We sat outside for a bit, as Emma had informed us that she was going to be late. When Emma eventually arrived, we went to McDonald's because Charlie wanted some food, and then we made our way to the Academy. While we were there, we met a guy who asked if he could join our lesbian club, so we told him that he could. Anyway, there were two support band type things. At least I think it was two. Can't remember what they were called, but one of them was quite good. After what seemed like forever, Robots In Disguise finally came on. To say that they were amazing would be a massive understatement. We were pretty much right at the front, as we had squished our way through (being small clearly has its uses). Dee and Sue kept coming up to the railings, so everyone was basically just groping them lots, and that was fun, and later they crowdsurfed. Eek! It was so brilliant! I was so glad that I wasn't wearing much, too. I practically died of overheating anyway! Afterwards, Sarah found out that she had lost one of her Mod Wolves badges, so we looked for it, but never managed to find it. We did, however, find her rave paint, which had fallen out of her pocket. We also discovered that Charlie was missing, which was a problem, as she had Emma's phone and money, and Sarah's money and bus pass. We tried calling her phone, but it was switched off, and she wasn't answering Emma's phone. Also, Sarah's phone had run out of battery and she couldn't call her mum. Luckily, my phone used to be a contract one, so we just popped Sarah's sim card in there and all was good. Emma also used my phone. I am so generous. We later found out that Charlie has gone home because she was feeling unwell, which solved the mystery. I got a lift back home with Sarah's mum, which was nice, as I hate having to get public transport by myself. All in all, I had a really great time, and the blisters were totally worth it!

On 27th May, I saw High School Musical at the Hippodrome in Birmingham with my mum. The view was really good, and the show was fantastic. Afterwards, I really wanted to go to the stage door so that I could meet Lorna Want, who was playing Gabriella, and a couple of my favourite ensemble members. Unfortunately, my mum decided that she needed to go to the toilet. She took forever, so by the time we got to the stage door, all of the cast had already left. Needless to say, that put me in more than a slightly bad mood, but it was an enjoyable evening nevertheless.

Give me my coloured coat.

On 10th May, I went with my friend Katy to see Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat at the Adelphi Theatre in London. Because Lee Mead was on holiday that week, Lewis Bradley (!) was in it. Naturally, we got very excited as we both LOVED Lewis when he was in Any Dream Will Do, and we bought him a card and Katy made a Bearseph (she bought a bear and made a loincloth and a multicoloured coat for it). We spent the day in London, looking around and eating and stuff, which was lovely, and the weather was really nice, all sunny and warm. The show was amazing! Afterwards, we went to the stage door, where we waited for lewis to come out. When he did, we had our pictures taken with him, and we gave him his card and present. Unfortunately, he was not very grateful and just said 'Uh... thanks.' All in all though, despite Lewis' unappreciativeness, it was a brilliant day.

On 11th April, I went with my sister, brother, and brother's girlfriend to see Supergrass live at the Carling Academy in Birmingham. It was absolutely amazing. they started with Diamond Hoo Ha Man, ended with Caught By The Fuzz, and played some really brilliant songs, new and old, in between, such as Brecon Beacons, which I absolutely love. Anyway, that is about all I have to say, except that it was well worth going, and I bought a really cool t-shirt too. :)

I always thought that I definitely preferred Placebo's more recent stuff, like the stuff off Meds, even though most people I asked seemed to prefer their earlier albums, which I never really understood. However, yesterday, I decided that I was going to listen to a bit of Without You I'm Nothing on my way to meet one of my friends, and, well... it was just AMAZING. I'm not really sure where my sudden change in opinion has sprouted from, as I have listened to Without You I'm Nothing a countless number of times before, and I've never liked it as much as I do now. I think that maybe my preference changes with my mood. I was in a particularly good mood yesterday, and I usually listen to Placebo when I am in a sort of average to bad mood. Anyway, I am sure that nobody is interested at all, but I felt the need to write about it.
